Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
रामस्तं प्रतिजग्राह पृष्टवा गोत्रादि सर्वश: । उष्यतां स्वागतं चेति प्रीतिमांश्नाभवद् भूुशम्
rāmas taṃ pratijagrāha pṛṣṭvā gotrādi sarvaśaḥ | uṣyatāṃ svāgataṃ ceti prītimān abhavad bhūśam ||
Rāma (Paraśurāma) recebeu-o com a consideração devida, indagando primeiro, por completo, sobre sua linhagem e demais particularidades. Depois, aceitando-o no espírito de um discípulo, disse: «Fica aqui, meu filho; és bem-vindo.» Tendo falado assim, o sábio alegrou-se grandemente com ele — um modelo ético de hospitalidade, discernimento cuidadoso e aceitação benevolente no vínculo mestre–discípulo.
