ब्राह्मणा ब्रह्मतन्त्रस्थास्तपस्तेषां न नश्यति । ब्रह्म धारयतां नित्य॑ं व्रतानि नियमांस्तथा

brāhmaṇā brahmatantrasthās tapas teṣāṃ na naśyati | brahma dhārayatāṃ nityaṃ vratāni niyamāṃs tathā ||

Bharadvāja disse: “Aqueles brāhmaṇas que permanecem firmes na disciplina de Brahman—agindo sob a autoridade dos preceitos védicos, sustentando Brahman continuamente pela lembrança e pela recitação, e observando com constância votos e restrições—jamais perdem o fruto de sua austeridade. Seu tapas não perece, pois está enraizado na conduta correta e na fiel adesão à lei sagrada.”
