निर्वेदोपदेशः (Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking
भुक्तवन्तं च त॑ विप्रं प्रीतात्मानं महातपा: । क्लमापनयनार्थ स पक्षाभ्यामभ्यवीजयत्,वह ब्राह्मण उन मत्स्योंको पकाकर जब खा चुका और उसकी अनन््तरात्मा तृप्त हो गयी, तब वह महातपस्वी पक्षी उसकी थकावट दूर करनेके लिये अपने पंखोंसे हवा करने लगा
bhuktavantaṃ ca taṃ vipraṃ prītātmānaṃ mahātapāḥ | klamāpanayanārthaṃ sa pakṣābhyām abhyavījayat ||
Quando o brâmane terminou de comer e seu coração ficou satisfeito, aquela grande ave asceta, desejando afastar-lhe o cansaço, abanou-o suavemente com as asas.
भीष्म उवाच
Austerity and righteousness are validated through compassionate conduct: after feeding a guest, one should also care for their comfort and fatigue. Tapas is shown as gentle service, not mere self-denial.
After the brahmin has eaten and become content, the great ascetic bird fans him with its wings to relieve his tiredness, demonstrating attentive hospitality.
