अपि चाप्सु निमज्जेत जपेस्त्रिरघमर्षणम्‌ । यथाश्वमेधावभूथस्तथा तन्मनुरब्रवीत्‌,यदि मनुष्य तीन बार अघमर्षणका जप करते हुए जलमें गोता लगावे तो उसे अश्वमेधयज्ञमें अवभूथस्नान करनेका फल मिलता है, ऐसा मनुजीने कहा है

api cāpsu nimajjet japet trir-aghamarṣaṇam | yathāśvamedhāvabhūthaḥ tathā tan manur abravīt, yadi |

Śaunaka disse: “Se uma pessoa se imerge na água e recita o Aghamarṣaṇa três vezes, alcança o mesmo mérito que o banho purificatório conclusivo (avabhṛtha-snāna) do sacrifício do Aśvamedha—assim declarou Manu.”
