Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)
भार्या देशो5थ मित्राणि पुत्रसम्बन्धिबान्धवा: । एते सर्वे गुणवति धर्मनेत्रे महीपतौ,जिस देशका राजा गुणवान् और धर्मपरायण होता है, वहाँ स्त्री, पुत्र, मित्र सम्बन्धी तथा देश सभी उत्तम गुणसे सम्पन्न होते हैं
bhāryā deśo 'tha mitrāṇi putra-sambandhi-bāndhavāḥ | ete sarve guṇavati dharma-netre mahīpatau |
Disse Brahmadatta: Quando o governante de uma terra é virtuoso e se guia pelo dharma, então a esposa, o país, os amigos, os filhos e os parentes ligados pelo sangue — todos prosperam e se tornam dotados de boas qualidades. A retidão do rei torna-se o eixo moral que eleva o caráter e o bem-estar de todo o círculo social e do reino.
