Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
अथ बन्धपरिक्लिष्टो मार्जारो वीक्ष्य मूषिकम् । छिन्दन्तं वै तदा पाशानत्वरन्तं त्वरान्वित:
atha bandha-parikliṣṭo mārjāro vīkṣya mūṣikam | chindantaṃ vai tadā pāśān atvarantaṃ tvarānvitāḥ ||
Disse Bhīṣma: Então o gato, aflito pelo cativeiro, viu o rato cortar as cordas dos laços. Mas, percebendo que o rato não agia com rapidez, o gato—tomado pela urgência—falou para instigá-lo, pressionando-o a romper os vínculos mais depressa.
