Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment
भवन्त: सुमहाभागास्तस्मात् पृच्छामि संशयम् । आशावान् पुरुषो यः स्यादन्तरिक्षमथापि वा
bhavantaḥ sumahābhāgās tasmāt pṛcchāmi saṁśayam | āśāvān puruṣo yaḥ syād antarīkṣam athāpi vā |
Bhīṣma disse: “Vós sois grandemente afortunados e realizados; por isso vos pergunto para desfazer minha dúvida. Se, de um lado, há um homem sustentado pela esperança, e do outro, o céu sem limites, qual dos dois vos parece maior na medida de grandeza do mundo? Desejo ouvir a verdade disso. De fato, tendo vindo aqui, o que ainda poderia ser difícil de obter?”
