Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तस्यर्षेरुपविष्टस्थ पादमूले महामते । मनुष्यवद्गतो भावो स्नेहबद्धों& भवद् भूशम्
tasyarṣer upaviṣṭastha-pādamūle mahāmate | manuṣyavad gato bhāvo sneha-baddho ’bhavad bhūśam ||
Bhishma disse: “Ó sábio, quando o cão se sentou aos pés do grande rishi, surgiu nele um sentimento semelhante ao humano. Preso firmemente pelo afeto, tornou-se profundamente apegado ao asceta.”
