मातापितृगुरुपूजा-प्रशंसा
Praise of Venerating Mother, Father, and Teacher
भीष्म उवाच मातापित्रोर्गुरूणां च पूजा बहुमता मम । इह युक्तो नरो लोकान् यशश्च महदश्लुते,भीष्मजीने कहा--राजन्! मुझे तो माता-पिता तथा गुरुजनोंकी पूजा ही अधिक महत्त्वकी वस्तु जान पड़ती है। इसलोकमें इस पुण्य कार्यमें संलग्न होकर मनुष्य महान् यश और श्रेष्ठ लोक पाता है
bhīṣma uvāca mātāpitrorgurūṇāṃ ca pūjā bahumatā mama | iha yukto naro lokān yaśaś ca mahad aśnute ||
Bhishma disse: “Para mim, honrar a mãe e o pai, e também os mestres, é da mais alta importância. Aquele que se dedica a essa prática virtuosa neste mundo alcança grande renome e, depois, chega a esferas excelentes.”
