मातापितृगुरुपूजा-प्रशंसा
Praise of Venerating Mother, Father, and Teacher
तस्मान्मे सम्प्रकाशन्ते त्रयो लोका युधिष्छिर । मैं तो सारा शुभ कर्म करके इन तीनों गुरुजनोंको ही समर्पित कर देता था। इससे मेरे उन सभी शुभ कर्मोका पुण्य सौगुना और हजारगुना बढ़ गया है। युधिष्ठिर! इसीसे तीनों लोक मेरी दृष्टिके सामने प्रकाशित हो रहे हैं
tasmān me samprakāśante trayo lokā yudhiṣṭhira |
Bhishma disse: “Por isso, ó Yudhiṣṭhira, os três mundos resplandecem nitidamente diante de mim. Pois eu costumava realizar toda ação auspiciosa e dedicá-la por inteiro àqueles três veneráveis anciãos; com essa oferta, o mérito de todas as minhas boas obras aumentou cem vezes e mil vezes. É por essa razão que os três mundos agora se mostram iluminados ao meu olhar.”
