Gaṇānāṃ Vṛttiḥ — On the Sustenance and Cohesion of Assemblies

गणमुख्यैस्तु सम्भूय कार्य गणहितं मिथ: । पृथग्गणस्य भिन्नस्य विततस्यथ ततो5न्यथा

Transliteration

gaṇamukhyais tu sambhūya kāryaṁ gaṇahitaṁ mithaḥ | pṛthag gaṇasya bhinnasya vitatasya atha tato 'nyathā ||

Translation

Bhīṣma disse: “Que os líderes das guildas e das assembleias se reúnam e, em consulta mútua, realizem o que beneficia o coletivo. Mas quando o corpo se divide—seus membros separados e dispersos—então o mesmo trabalho deve ser conduzido de outro modo, pois a unidade é a condição do bem comum.”
