Jaitrya-nimitta: Signs of Prospective Victory and the Priority of Conciliation (जयलक्षण-निमित्त तथा सान्त्व-प्रधान नीति)
संदर्शेनेव सेनाया भयं भीरून् प्रबाधते | वज्रादिव प्रज्वलितादियं क्व नु पतिष्यति,शत्रुकी सेनाको देखते ही कायरोंको भय सताने लगता है, मानो उनके ऊपर प्रज्वलित वज्र गिरनेवाला हो। वे सोचते हैं, न जाने यह सेना किसके ऊपर पड़ेगी?
saṁdarśanenaiva senāyā bhayaṁ bhīrūn prabādhate | vajrādiva prajvalitād iyaṁ kva nu patiṣyati ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Ao simples avistar de um exército, o medo oprime os tímidos. É como se um raio em chamas estivesse prestes a cair sobre eles; e ficam a se perguntar: ‘Sobre quem, afinal, esta hoste descerá?’”
