ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

सभायां गदतो चूते दुर्योधनहितैषिण: । तदा नश्यति मे रोष: पादौ तस्य निरीक्ष्य ह,जब द्यूतसभामें दुर्योधनके हितकी इच्छासे वे बोलने लगते और मैं उनकी कड़वी एवं रूखी बातें सुनता, उस समय उनके पैरोंको देखकर मेरा बढ़ा हुआ रोष शान्त हो जाता था
sabhāyāṃ gadato cūte duryodhana-hitaiṣiṇaḥ | tadā naśyati me roṣaḥ pādau tasya nirīkṣya ha ||
Quando, na assembleia real, o cocheiro falava com a intenção de servir aos interesses de Duryodhana, e eu tinha de ouvir suas palavras ásperas e amargas, minha ira crescente então se aquietava — apenas por olhar para seus pés. Assim, mesmo em meio à provocação, a reverência ao mais velho e ao benfeitor refreia a cólera e preserva o autocontrole ético.
