Mahabharata 9.65.24 — Shalya Parva, Adhyaya 65, Shloka 24
सो<यं मां समनुप्राप्त: प्रत्यक्ष भवतां हि यः । पृथिवीं पालयित्वाहमेतां निष्ठामुपागत:
so ’yaṁ māṁ samanuprāptaḥ pratyakṣaṁ bhavatāṁ hi yaḥ | pṛthivīṁ pālayitvāham etāṁ niṣṭhām upāgataḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: “Esta mesma hora de ruína chegou também para mim—algo que vedes claramente com os vossos próprios olhos. Houve um tempo em que governei e protegi toda esta terra; hoje fui trazido a esta condição final.”
