Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
वैशम्पायनजीने कहा--भरतकुलभूषण नरेश! तुमने जो प्रश्न किया है, वह सर्वथा उचित है। तुम मुझसे जो कुछ पूछ रहे हो, वह सब मैं तुझे यथार्थरूपसे बताऊँगा ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca—hataṃ duryodhanaṃ dṛṣṭvā bhīmasenena saṃyuge | vyutkramya samayaṃ rājan dhārtarāṣṭraṃ mahābalam ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó rei, ao ver Duryodhana, o poderoso filho de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, abatido por Bhīmasena em combate — e ainda por transgressão da regra de luta previamente acordada — um grande temor tomou a mente de Yudhiṣṭhira.”
