गदायुद्धप्रतिज्ञा — The Vow and Terms of the Mace Duel
उत्तिषवीत्तिष्ठ युध्यस्व युद्धे श्रेयो भविष्यति । याद है न
uttiṣṭha vīra tiṣṭha yudhyasva yuddhe śreyo bhaviṣyati |
Yudhiṣṭhira disse: “Ergue-te, herói—levanta-te e luta. Na batalha, só isso será melhor para ti. Lembras-te de que te empenhaste com esforço especial para nos queimar vivos? Fizeste Bhīma ser mordido por serpentes venenosas, deste-lhe veneno e lançaste-o às águas; tomaste o nosso reino e nos enredaste na tua teia de enganos; lançaste palavras duras a Draupadī e a arrastaste pelos cabelos. Pecador! Por essas razões, tua vida está como que já destruída. Ergue-te, ergue-te—combate; só assim o teu bem será servido.”
