Dvaipāyana-hrade Duryodhanasya Māyā — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharmoktiḥ (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 30)
The verse highlights how greed and opportunism (implied by lubdhakāḥ) collapse in the face of visible suffering and danger; it implicitly contrasts noble endurance in adversity with self-interested flight.
Sañjaya reports that the Pāṇḍavas are standing in a dejected state, and the hunters present there hastily leave that location, withdrawing from the scene.
