विश्रम्यैकां निशामद्य भवद्धि: सहितो रणे । प्रतियोत्स्याम्यहं शत्रून् श्वो न मे5स्त्यत्र संशय:,आज एक रात विश्राम करके कल सबेरे रणभूमिमें आप लोगोंके साथ रहकर मैं शत्रुओंके साथ युद्ध करूँगा, इसमें संशय नहीं है
viśramyaikāṃ niśām adya bhavadbhiḥ sahito raṇe | pratiyotsyāmy ahaṃ śatrūn śvo na me 'sty atra saṃśayaḥ ||
Disse Duryodhana: “Tendo descansado esta única noite, amanhã, de pé convosco no campo de batalha, enfrentarei os inimigos em combate. Quanto a isso, não há dúvida em mim.”
दुर्योधन उवाच
The verse highlights a warrior-king’s resolve and reliance on comrades: after a brief pause for recovery, he recommits to battle with certainty. Ethically, it reflects the kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness, while also showing how determination can persist even within a morally fraught war.
Duryodhana addresses his allies, stating that he will rest for the night and then, the next morning, fight the enemy forces on the battlefield together with them, expressing complete confidence that this will happen.
