शकुनिवधः — Sahadeva’s Slaying of Śakuni

इन्द्राशनिसमस्पर्श: समनन््तात् पर्यवाकिरत् । तत्पश्चात् भीमसेनने इन्द्रके वजकी भाँति कठोर स्पर्शवाले तीखे बाणोंद्वारा आपकी सेनाको चारों ओरसे ढक दिया
indrāśani-samasparśaḥ samantāt paryavākirat | tatpaścāt bhīmasenena indrasya vajravat kaṭhora-sparśaiḥ tīkṣṇaiḥ bāṇaiḥ tava senā caturdiśaṃ ācchāditā ||
Sañjaya disse: Então Bhīmasena fez chover flechas por todos os lados—flechas cujo toque era tão duro e ardente quanto o vajra, o raio de Indra—de modo que o teu exército ficou coberto e encurralado de todas as direções. A cena ressalta como, no frenesi da guerra, a destreza marcial pode esmagar hostes inteiras, lançando os combatentes a uma prova severa de coragem e dever em meio à destruição.
