आप्लुत्य पाण्डवानीकं पुनर्युद्धमरोचयन् । प्रजानाथ! कुछ लोग अपने रथकी रणसामग्रीसे सुसज्जित करके पाण्डव-सेनापर चढ़ आते और अपनी प्रधानताके अनुसार किसी श्रेष्ठ वीरके साथ जूझना पसंद करते थे ।। ते शूरा: किड्किणीजालै: समाच्छज्ना बभासिरे
sañjaya uvāca | āplutya pāṇḍavānīkaṃ punar yuddham arocayan | te śūrāḥ kiḍkiṇījālaiḥ samācchannā babhāsire ||
Sañjaya disse: Tendo investido contra o exército dos Pāṇḍavas, escolheram novamente a batalha. Aqueles heróis, com seus carros equipados com aprestos de guerra e ornados por redes de guizos tilintantes, resplandeciam — cada qual, segundo seu grau e valor, buscando enfrentar um guerreiro de primeira grandeza.
