शल्यवधे कौरवसेनाभङ्गः, भीमस्य गदायुद्धं, दुर्योधनस्य समाह्वानम्

न युक्तमेतत्‌ समरे त्वयि तिष्ठति भारत । “भारत! हमलोगोंके देखते-देखते मद्रदेशकी यह सेना क्‍यों मारी जाती है? तुम्हारे रहते ऐसा कदापि नहीं होना चाहिये

na yuktam etat samare tvayi tiṣṭhati bhārata |

Disse Sañjaya: “Isto não é apropriado—enquanto tu, ó Bhārata, permaneces firme na batalha. Como pode o exército de Madra ser dizimado diante de nossos próprios olhos? Com tua presença, tal coisa jamais deveria ser permitida.”
