Daiva–Puruṣakāra Saṃvāda
Kṛpa’s Counsel on Destiny and Human Effort
वृद्धानां वचन श्रुत्वा यो<भ्युत्थानं प्रयोजयेत्
vṛddhānāṁ vacanaṁ śrutvā yo 'bhyutthānaṁ prayojayet
Kṛpa disse: “Tendo ouvido o conselho dos anciãos, quem quer que exorte (outros) a erguer-se e agir…”
कृप उवाच
The verse emphasizes that listening to elders’ counsel is not merely ceremonial; it should translate into disciplined readiness and purposeful action, aligning conduct with guidance and duty.
In the Sauptika Parva, Kṛpa is speaking amid the tense aftermath of the great war, offering counsel that stresses heeding senior advice and prompting decisive action in response to it.
