Shloka 35

“आजसे चौदहवें वर्षमें दुर्योधनके अपराधसे भीम और अर्जुनके पराक्रमद्वारा कौरवकुलका नाश हो जायगा” ।। इत्युक्त्वा दिवमाक्रम्य क्षिप्रमन्‍्तरधीयत । ब्राह्मीं श्रियं सुविपुलां बिश्रद्‌ देवर्षिसत्तम:

“ājase caturdaśame varṣe duryodhanasyāparādhena bhīmārjunayoḥ parākramād api kauravakulasya nāśo bhaviṣyati” iti uktvā divam ākramya kṣipram antaradhīyata | brāhmīṁ śriyaṁ suvīpulāṁ bibhrad devarṣisattamaḥ ||

“No décimo quarto ano a partir de hoje, por culpa de Duryodhana, a linhagem dos Kurus será levada à ruína pelo valor de Bhīma e Arjuna.” Tendo dito isso, o mais excelso dos videntes divinos ascendeu ao céu e depressa desapareceu da vista, levando um esplendor vasto, semelhante ao de Brahman—um veredito implícito de que o adharma, quando amadurece, deságua em destruição coletiva.
