sa cintayann anekāgraḥ śokavyākulacetanaḥ | kṣattuḥ sampreṣayāmāsa śīghram āgamyatām iti ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Perdido em reflexão ansiosa, já sem firmeza na mente e com a consciência abalada pela dor, enviou recado a Vidura, o camareiro: “Vem a mim imediatamente, sem demora.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When the mind is overwhelmed by grief and loses steadiness, one should seek timely counsel from a wise and ethically grounded advisor; the verse highlights the need for guidance and restraint at moments of inner agitation.
The speaker narrates that the troubled figure, unable to maintain focus due to sorrow, sends an urgent summons to Vidura (called Kṣattṛ), asking him to come immediately—setting up a scene where counsel and moral reasoning are expected.
