Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
अन्वगच्छंस्तथैवान्यान क्षत्रियान् क्षत्रियर्षभा: । एवं सुपूजिता: सर्वे जम्मुर्विप्रा: सहस्रश:,इसी प्रकार अन्य क्षत्रियशिरोमणियोंने दूसरे-दूसरे क्षत्रिय राजाओंका अनुगमन किया। इसी तरह सभी ब्राह्मण भी अत्यन्त पूजित हो सहस्रोंकी संख्यामें वहाँसे विदा हुए। राजाओं तथा ब्राह्मणोंके चले जानेपर प्रतापी भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने युधिषप्ठिससे कहा--
anvagacchaṃs tathaivānyān kṣatriyān kṣatriyarṣabhāḥ | evaṃ supūjitāḥ sarve jagmur viprāḥ sahasraśaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana disse: Do mesmo modo, aqueles líderes entre os kṣatriyas, como touros entre os homens, seguiram os outros reis kṣatriyas. Do mesmo modo, os brāhmaṇas também—honrados com a mais alta reverência—partiram dali aos milhares. Quando os reis e os brāhmaṇas se foram, o poderoso Senhor Śrī Kṛṣṇa então se dirigiu a Yudhiṣṭhira.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic court-culture: worthy guests—especially learned Brāhmaṇas and ruling Kṣatriyas—are to be honoured properly, and social interactions proceed through recognized protocols of respect and orderly departure.
After being duly honoured, the assembled Kṣatriya kings and thousands of Brāhmaṇas leave. With the assembly dispersed, Śrī Kṛṣṇa turns to speak privately to Yudhiṣṭhira, marking a transition from public ceremony to counsel.
