वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that true sanctity is measured by sustained dharmic practice: even the highest beings honor a place through long, disciplined sacrificial worship, implying that devotion and righteous ritual order uphold cosmic stability across vast cycles of time.
Vaiśampāyana describes a supremely holy location where, at the completion of a thousand yugas, exalted figures—Nara-Nārāyaṇa, Brahmā, Yama, and Śiva—assemble to perform/attend a long sacrificial session (satra), emphasizing the site’s exceptional spiritual power.
