सहदेव-दक्षिण-दिग्विजयः — Sahadeva’s Southern Conquest and the Māhiṣmatī–Agni Encounter
पार्थ नेदं त्वया शक््यं पुरं जेतुं कथंचन । उपावर्तस्व कल्याण पर्याप्तमिदमच्युत
pārtha nedaṁ tvayā śakyaṁ puraṁ jetuṁ kathaṁcana | upāvartasva kalyāṇa paryāptam idam acyuta ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó Pārtha, de modo algum podes conquistar esta cidade. Volta atrás, ó auspicioso. Ó Acyuta, basta que tenhas chegado até aqui.” É um aviso grave: entrar nessa cidade é tido como fatal; por isso, a prudência e a preservação da vida são exaltadas acima do heroísmo temerário, e alcançar o limiar já é reconhecido como grande feito.
