उपपन्नं महाबाहो त्वयि कौरवनन्दन । पाकशासनदायादे वीर्यमाहवशोभिनि
upapannaṃ mahābāho tvayi kauravanandana | pākaśāsanadāyāde vīryam āhavśobhini, tvam īpsitaṃ pāṇḍaveya brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi te | yad vakṣyasi mahābāho tat kariṣyāmi putraka ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: “Ó Mahābāhu, orgulho dos Kurus, herdeiro de Pākaśāsana (Indra)! Teu valor—esplêndido na batalha—convém-te por completo. Ó filho de Pāṇḍu, dize-me o que desejas: que serviço querido devo fazer por ti? O que ordenares, ó de braços poderosos, meu filho, isso certamente farei.”
