vaiśampāyana uvāca |

pārthaḥ prāpya dhanuḥ śreṣṭham akṣayyau ca maheṣudhī |

rathaṃ dhvajaṃ sabhāṃ caiva yudhiṣṭhiram abhāṣata ||

Disse Vaiśampāyana: Depois que Pārtha (Arjuna) obteve o melhor dos arcos, duas grandes aljavas inexauríveis, bem como um carro, um estandarte e o maravilhoso salão de assembleia, dirigiu-se então a Yudhiṣṭhira desta maneira. A narrativa passa da aquisição de recursos de origem divina ao seu emprego conforme o dharma: Arjuna, agora plenamente equipado, fala ao irmão mais velho no contexto da campanha de conquista que os irmãos empreenderão para sustentar o rito régio e a soberania de Yudhiṣṭhira.
