ततः सा राक्षसी राजन् विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचना । न शशाक समुद्वोढुं वज़सारमयं शिशुम्,राजन! यह देखकर राक्षसीके नेत्र आश्वर्यसे खिल उठे। उसे वह शिशु वज्रके सारतत्त्वका बना जान पड़ा। राक्षसी उसे उठाकर ले जानेमें असमर्थ हो गयी
tataḥ sā rākṣasī rājan vismayotphullalocanā | na śaśāka samudvoḍhuṃ vajrasāramayaṃ śiśum |
Então aquela rākṣasī, ó Rei, com os olhos arregalados de espanto, não conseguiu erguer nem carregar o infante, pois a criança parecia feita da própria essência de uma força adamantina, como o vajra do trovão.
