एवमेते हि जानन्ति कुले जाता मनस्विन: । वश्चित् कदाचिदेतेषां भवेच्छेष्ठो जनार्दन,जनार्दन! ये उत्तम कुलमें उत्पन्न मनस्वी सभासद् ऐसा जानते हैं कि इनमें कभी कोई श्रेष्ठ (सर्वविजयी) भी हो सकता है
evam ete hi jānanti kule jātā manasvinaḥ | vaścit kadācid eteṣāṃ bhavec chreṣṭho janārdana ||
“Assim, de fato, compreendem estes homens de ânimo elevado, nascidos em famílias nobres: que entre eles, ó Janārdana, pode acontecer que, em algum momento, um se torne o primeiro—preeminente e vitorioso sobre os demais.”
