Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ordered coexistence of diverse beings—rākṣasas, yakṣas, and gandharvas—under recognized leadership, suggesting that power and presence in the world are structured by hierarchy and association, not merely by force.

Nārada is listing or describing the arrival/presence of various powerful groups: the rākṣasa overlord Mahendra connected with Gandhamādana appears along with yakṣas, gandharvas, and other night-roaming beings, indicating a gathering of formidable supernatural forces.
