मौसलपर्व — अध्याय ८
Arjuna’s evacuation of Dvārakā, Vasudeva’s rites, and the caravan’s crisis
व्यास उवाच (देवांशा देवदेवेन सम्मतास्ते गता: सह । धर्मव्यवस्थारक्षार्थ देवेन समुपेक्षिता: ।।) व्यासजी बोले--कुन्तीकुमार! वे समस्त यदुवंशी देवताओंके अंश थे। वे देवाधिदेव श्रीकृष्णके साथ ही यहाँ आये थे और साथ ही चले गये। उनके रहनेसे धर्मकी मर्यादाके भंग होनेका डर था; अतः भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने धर्म-व्यवस्थाकी रक्षाके लिये उन मरते हुए यादवोंकी उपेक्षा कर दी ।। ब्रह्मशापविनिर्दग्धा वृष्ण्यन्धकमहारथा:,कुरुश्रेष्ठ! वृष्णि और अन्धकवंशके महारथी ब्राह्मणोंके शापसे दग्ध होकर नष्ट हुए हैं; अतः तुम उनके लिये शोक न करो। उन महामनस्वी वीरोंकी भवितव्यता ही ऐसी थी। उनका प्रारब्ध ही वैसा बन गया था
vyāsa uvāca | devāṃśā devadevena sammatās te gatāḥ saha | dharmavyavasthārakṣārthaṃ devena samupeksitāḥ ||
Vyāsa disse: “Ó filho de Kuntī, todos aqueles Yādavas eram porções dos deuses. Com a aprovação do Deus dos deuses, vieram aqui com Ele e com Ele partiram. Como a sua permanência ameaçava romper os limites do dharma, o Senhor, para proteger a ordem estabelecida, deliberadamente permaneceu indiferente enquanto pereciam.”
व्यास उवाच
Even divinely empowered communities can be withdrawn when their continued power threatens the balance of dharma; the Lord’s non-intervention can serve the protection of the moral-cosmic order rather than personal attachment.
Vyāsa consoles the son of Kuntī by explaining that the Yādavas were divine portions who arrived with Kṛṣṇa and departed with him; because their presence could disrupt dharma’s boundaries, Kṛṣṇa did not prevent their destruction, allowing the destined end to occur.
