कपिलानां सवत्सानां वर्षमेक॑ निरन्तरम् | यो दद्यात् सुकृतं तद्धि श्रवणात् कर्णपर्वण:
kapilānāṁ savatsānāṁ varṣam ekaṁ nirantaram | yo dadyāt sukṛtaṁ tad dhi śravaṇāt karṇaparvaṇaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “O mérito que alguém obteria ao doar continuamente, por um ano inteiro, vacas kapilā, de cor acastanhada, juntamente com seus bezerros—esse mesmo mérito é alcançado simplesmente ao ouvir o Karṇa Parva.”
