Righteous leadership expresses itself through humility and gratitude: Yudhiṣṭhira, known for dharma, repeatedly acknowledges both divine guidance (Kṛṣṇa as Janārdana) and exemplary human conduct (Arjuna as kuruśreṣṭha), highlighting that ethical success in crisis is sustained by reverence, recognition of merit, and alignment with dharma.
Sañjaya reports to the king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) that Yudhiṣṭhira, in the course of events in the Karṇa Parva, repeatedly praises Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna—indicating approval of their counsel and valor and marking a moment of acknowledgment amid the unfolding battle.
