Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how, in war, power once unleashed can spread like a summer wildfire—swift, consuming, and difficult to restrain—inviting reflection on the ethical cost of martial ambition and the chain-reaction nature of violence.

Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Karṇa, in the thick of battle, is overwhelming the opposing forces, likened to a blazing summer fire consuming dry fuel.
