हाहाकृताश्वैव रणे विशोक मुज्चन्ति नादान् विपुलान् गजेन्द्रा:,विशोक! रणभूमिमें सब ओर हाहाकार मचा हुआ है। बहुसंख्यक गजराज बड़े जोर- जोरसे चीत्कार कर रहे हैं
hāhākṛtāśvaiva raṇe viśoka muñcanti nādān vipulān gajendrāḥ
Bhīmasena disse: “Ó Viśoka, o campo de batalha está cheio, por todos os lados, de gritos de alarme. Grandes elefantes senhoriais, em vasto número, estão a bramir alto.”
