प्रेष्यवच्चापि राजानमुपस्थास्यन्ति कौरवम् । “निश्चय ही ये थोथे तिलोंके समान नपुंसक हैं और नरकमें डूब गये हैं। आजसे ये दासोंके समान कौरव-नरेशकी सेवामें उपस्थित होंगे” ।।
preṣyavaccāpi rājānam upasthāsyanti kauravam | ityuktavān adharmajñas tadā paramadurmatī ||
Sañjaya disse: “Doravante, eles servirão ao rei Kaurava como se fossem meros servos.” Tendo falado assim, aquele homem—ignorante do dharma e de intento totalmente perverso—proferiu um juízo cruel, lançando sobre outros a pecha de caídos e sem virilidade; e, com isso, revelou a degradação moral que acompanha o orgulho e o desprezo no frenesi da guerra.
