नश्यमानमहं युक्त मन्येयमिति मे मतिः । “रणभूमिमें तुम्हें पाकर सारा क्षत्रियसमाज एक दिनमें नष्ट हो सकता है, ऐसा कहना मैं युक्तिसंगत मानता हूँ। मेरी तो ऐसी ही धारणा है |। ५० ई ।।
naśyamānam ahaṁ yuktaṁ manyeyam iti me matiḥ | seyaṁ pārtha camūr ghorā dhārtarāṣṭrasya saṁyuge ||
Disse Sañjaya: «Parece-me um juízo razoável que, uma vez encontrado em campo de batalha, todo o corpo de guerreiros kṣatriya poderia ser destruído em um só dia. Tal é a minha convicção. E agora, ó Pārtha, contempla este terrível exército dos filhos de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, disposto para o combate.»
