पृथ्वीपते! आज मैं कर्णको मारे बिना समरांगणसे नहीं लौटूँगा। इस सत्यके द्वारा मैं आपके दोनों चरण छूता हूँ ।।
sañjaya uvāca | iti bruvāṇaṃ sumanāḥ kirīṭinaṃ yudhiṣṭhiraḥ prāha vaco bṛhattaram | yaśo'kṣayaṃ jīvitam īpsitaṃ te jayaṃ sadā vīryam ari-kṣayaṃ tathā ||
Disse Sañjaya: Quando Arjuna, o portador do diadema, falou assim, Yudhiṣṭhira—com o coração jubiloso—dirigiu-lhe palavras de grande peso: “Ó herói! Que a fama imperecível seja tua; que tua vida seja plena e completa; que teus anseios mais queridos se cumpram; que a vitória sempre te acompanhe; e que possuas um valor infalível, destruidor de inimigos.”
