कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
अपयातोड<सि कौन्तेय राजा द्रष्टव्य इत्यपि । स राजा भवता दृष्ट: कुशली च युधिषछिर:,“कुन्तीनन्दन! तुम तो यह सोचकर युद्धसे हट आये थे कि राजा युधिष्ठिरका दर्शन कर लूँ। सो तुमने राजाका दर्शन कर लिया। राजा युधिष्ठिर सब प्रकारसे सकुशल हैं
sañjaya uvāca | apayāto 'si kaunteya rājā draṣṭavya ity api | sa rājā bhavatā dṛṣṭaḥ kuśalī ca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
Sañjaya disse: “Ó filho de Kuntī, tu te afastaste da batalha pensando: ‘Preciso ver o rei.’ Agora, de fato, viste esse rei; e Yudhiṣṭhira está são e salvo, em plena segurança.”
संजय उवाच
Even amid warfare, responsibility includes attentiveness to leadership and the welfare of one’s own side; the verse highlights disciplined concern—checking on the king’s condition—without abandoning the larger duty of the battle.
Sañjaya reports that Kaunteya (Arjuna) had stepped back from fighting with the intention of seeing King Yudhiṣṭhira; Sañjaya confirms that Arjuna has now seen him and that Yudhiṣṭhira is unharmed and well.
