अर्जुनकर्णयोर्युद्धवर्णनम्
Description of the Arjuna–Karṇa Engagement and Counsel to Duryodhana
ततस्तु गत्वा पुरुषप्रवीरी राजानमासाद्य शयानमेकम् । रथादुभौ प्रत्यवरुह्मु तस्माद् ववन्दतुर्धर्मराजस्य पादौ
tatastu gatvā puruṣapravīrī rājānam āsādya śayānam ekam | rathād ubhau pratyavaruhmu tasmād vavandatur dharmarājasya pādau ||
Então aqueles dois homens eminentes prosseguiram, alcançaram o rei que jazia sozinho, e ambos desceram do carro. Prostraram-se aos pés de Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira), reconhecendo sua autoridade moral mesmo sob a pressão da guerra.
संजय उवाच
Even in the urgency of warfare, rightful conduct is maintained through respect for dharma and legitimate authority; bowing at Yudhiṣṭhira’s feet signals humility, discipline, and acknowledgment of ethical kingship.
Two eminent warriors arrive where Yudhiṣṭhira is resting alone, dismount from their chariot, and formally pay homage at his feet, indicating they have come to report, consult, or seek sanction for actions connected with the war.
