Description of the Arjuna–Karṇa Engagement and Counsel to Duryodhana
Eu seguirei adiante; tu abate as hostes inimigas reunidas contra Pārtha.”
The verse underscores steadfast performance of one’s appointed duty in war: Bhīma’s valor is treated as natural to his role and character, and Kṛṣṇa’s directive emphasizes focused action—eliminate the opposing forces threatening one’s righteous cause—without self-indulgent astonishment or hesitation.
Sañjaya narrates that Kṛṣṇa, while driving the horses, addresses Bhīma on the battlefield. He praises Bhīma’s prowess as unsurprising and instructs him to continue the assault by destroying the assembled enemy troops opposing Pārtha (Arjuna), while Kṛṣṇa himself proceeds onward.
