दुःशासनवधः (Duḥśāsana-vadha) — Bhīma’s vow-fulfillment in combat
ततो यौधिष्ठिरं सैन्यं वध्यमानं महात्मना
tato yauḍhiṣṭhiraṃ sainyaṃ vadhyamānaṃ mahātmanā
Então o exército de Yudhiṣṭhira, sendo dizimado por aquele guerreiro de grande alma, começou a sofrer duramente—imagem do ímpeto implacável da guerra, em que até uma causa justa deve suportar as consequências severas da violência no campo de batalha.
संजय उवाच
Even when one stands with dharma, war unleashes suffering that does not discriminate; the verse underscores the ethical gravity of violence and the inevitability of painful consequences once battle is joined.
