अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः
Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
सो&5तिविद्धो महेष्वास: सूतपुत्रेण संयुगे । कर्ण विव्याध समरे नवत्या निशितै: शरै:
so 'tividdho maheṣvāsaḥ sūtaputreṇa saṃyuge | karṇaṃ vivyādha samare navatyā niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Embora gravemente ferido no choque pelo filho do cocheiro, o grande arqueiro Śikhaṇḍin, firme no campo de batalha, atingiu Karṇa em resposta, no auge do combate, com noventa flechas afiadas como lâminas.
