Sañjaya disse: Então ele tombou do seu carro, vertendo sangue vermelho-escuro, como um pico do monte Manaḥśilā fendido por um raio e desabando sobre a terra.

The verse highlights impermanence and the leveling power of death in war: even a great warrior can be brought down instantly, and the epic frames this through a cosmic simile (a mountain-peak shattered by Vajra) to stress the moral gravity and irreversible consequences of violence.
Sañjaya reports that a warrior has been struck down and falls from his chariot, bleeding profusely. The fall is compared to a mountain summit split by a thunderbolt and collapsing to the ground, emphasizing the force of the blow and the dramatic downfall.
