Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat
Even in righteous warfare, hostility and vowed aggression can become extreme; the verse highlights steadfastness under pressure and the paradox of Kṛṣṇa’s role—guiding the battle without taking up weapons, yet still sharing its dangers.
Suśarmā, leading the Saṃśaptakas, showers Arjuna with ten swift arrows and also strikes Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana) with three arrows on the right arm, escalating the intensity around Arjuna’s chariot.
