Sañjaya disse: “Então, ó senhor dos povos, Śalya partiu veloz em seu carro e chegou ao lugar onde Bhīma, o grande arqueiro, fazia teu exército bater em retirada.”
संजय उवाच
In the ethics of kṣatriya-dharma, a commander must respond swiftly where the line breaks. The verse highlights decisive leadership under pressure—moving toward the crisis rather than away from it—while acknowledging the harsh moral atmosphere of war where rout and pursuit occur.
Bhīma is aggressively routing the Kaurava forces. Seeing this, Śalya quickly drives his chariot to that sector of the battlefield, presumably to check Bhīma’s advance and stabilize the Kaurava formation.
