Adhyāya 41 — Kṛṣṇa’s Battlefield Briefing and the Renewal of the Great Engagement
The verse underscores exemplary martial excellence and resolve: Arjuna’s prowess is portrayed as so great that even forces supported by divine powers could not withstand him, highlighting the ethical weight of capability and responsibility in a warrior’s dharma.
Sañjaya recalls Arjuna’s earlier feat in the Khāṇḍava forest—where he fought and prevailed against formidable opponents—using that past victory to characterize Arjuna’s extraordinary strength in the present war context.
