Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights reverence toward the supreme divine authority: even exalted celestial beings uphold dharma by offering praise to Śiva, affirming that rightful devotion and acknowledgement of higher order remain central even in a war-driven narrative.

Bhīṣma describes a celestial scene in which Gandharvas, gods, Apsarases, and great seers praise Lord Śiva as he rides upon his chariot, presenting a moment of divine presence and veneration within the broader events of the Karṇa Parva.
